About Us

The Little Pancake Company was founded by a girl who liked nothing more than to make pancakes in her jimjams at home with her sisters. Mumma Bear would always make us pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and every year since leaving home this tradition has been upheld (even though one year this meant making pancakes for a crowd of hungry friends in a tiny flat in London where we had to shake the pancake batter in a milk carton as we didn’t have a whisk or even any bowls).

Add to that one year living in Paris with the smell of delicious crepes with beurre et sucre on every street corner and we’re hooked. But we came back to England to find everyone was still only having pancakes on pancake day. That makes for 364 pancake-less days!

At The Little Pancake Company, we’re passionate about making pancakes an all-year-round kinda thing. Sounds like a rather good plan doesn’t it?

We now make delicious pancake mixes so that you can enjoy pancakes at home any day of the year. Our gourmet pancake mixes use the finest ingredients which we blend into creative flavours combinations to make your Sunday brunch a little different.

And the best bit?

We donate a hot meal with the help of the guys at FoodCycle for every pancake mix we sell here on our own website.

How we work…

Pen & Paper

We often brainstorm new recipes in a little notepad over a nice cup of tea in a cafe somewhere. Inspired by ingredients that are fun and celebratory, we choose flavour combinations that remind us of home, like Apple Crumble.

In the Kitchen

We then take our ideas into the kitchen and make up a few recipes as if we were just cooking for ourselves. We always rope in a few friends and family to taste test the results, but they don’t seem to mind!

Sourcing

Once we’re happy with our recipe, we then go about sourcing the ingredients, making sure we’re not compromising on quality, whether we’re looking for Belgian chocolate or fruity raspberries.
