Pancake Purchase Agreement (aka Terms of Sale)

When purchasing goods from this website, you, the consumer, are entering into a legally binding contract with ourselves here at Pancake HQ, The Little Pancake Company.

Once you have confirmed your purchase of delicious pancakes (or other items) at the checkout, the contract comes into force.

You have 7 days from receipt of the goods to opt out of the contract. See our returns policy for details. This contract is governed by UK law.

Delivery

All prices on our website exclude delivery charge.

Delivery is charged at £2.95 for UK mainland delivery and is free for orders over £20.

Please note that coupon codes such as 10% off will refer to your total basket value before delivery unless otherwise stated, will still be applied to your order.

Our pancakes are shipped by Royal Mail Signed 48 and should be delivered within approx. 2-3 working days. If you are not at home, Royal Mail should leave a card. We cannot be held responsible for any spoilage of goods that occurs if you do not collect your goods from the depot within 72 hours.

Orders over 2 kg are sent via DPD local and should arrive within 1-2 working days of dispatch.

We aim to dispatch your delivery within 1-2 working days, and we will send you an email to confirm dispatch. Please ensure you enter your email address carefully during the checkout process as you will not receive an order confirmation or dispatch notice if your email address is typed incorrectly. In the event that you do not receive an order confirmation within 2 hours of placing your order, please email us at hello@littlepancakeco.com.

Your order should arrive within 3-5 days of dispatch, as per Royal Mail 2nd Class Delivery standards. All orders should arrive in no more than 10 days. Your order will be processed as soon as we receive your payment through PayPal. Don’t worry, you can pay with your credit or debit card through PayPal even if you don’t have a PayPal account. You can also checkout with a credit or debit card using Shopify Payments.

Out of stock items should appear as unavailable in our store but in the unlikely event of a pancake mainframe malfunction, you will be contacted with the expected delivery date of your order, along with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, or select an alternative product or flavour of equal value.

While we strive to deliver your pancake goodies as soon as possible, we cannot be held responsible for any items that fail to arrive in time due to events beyond our control, such as postal error.

Refunds and Returns

Food items may not be returned, refunded or exchanged unless damaged on arrival. If your goods received are faulty or damaged then please contact us by sending an email to hello@littlepancakeco.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Goods returned for exchange must be in the condition you received them to allow us to assess any damages. This offer applies for 14 days from the date of purchase and is in addition to your statutory rights.

In the rare event you receive product that is faulty, please return the item(s) within 14 days for a refund or exchange to:

To speed up your return, please contact us prior to returning items so that we can issue you with a returns reference.

Our pancakes are shipped by Royal Mail Signed For Delivery 2nd Class and require somebody to sign for the package. Orders over 2kg are sent via Parcel Force. If you are not at home, Royal Mail / Parcel Force will try to redeliver, or will leave your package at your local depot. We cannot be held responsible for any spoilage of goods that occurs if you do not collect your goods from the depot within 72 hours.

For all returns, please give full details of the reason for the return. When returning goods, please obtain and keep your certificate of postage as you will need this as your proof of return.

We hope that these terms and conditions are clear – they are in place to help all of us have a safe and happy pancake experience. By visiting The Little Pancake Company, you accept and consent to the practices described above. From time to time we may revise our terms and conditions and any changes will be posted on this page.

Competitions

We love running competitions and use them to spread the pancake love with our existing customers and fans, and to make new friends. We often ask you to enter a competition via our website using a sign up form. We’ll collect your name and email address. We may also ask for your birthday. We only ask you this because we want to send you offers on your birthday, not because we’re crazy stalkers!

All contact details are stored securely by our email partner ‘MailChimp’. We never share them with anyone else and neither do they (unless required by law). By entering these details, you are agreeing to join our mailing list. This isn’t sneaky or mischievous of us – we just have to be able to email you if you win, and we figured that if you liked our brand enough to enter our competition, you might like to hear more from us in the form of newsletters. If that’s not the case, then just unsubscribe when you receive your first one using the link at the bottom of the email itself, or email us at hello@littlepancakeco.com.

As we usually include a pancake mix as part of a competition prize, our competitions are only available to UK residents due to delivery costs involved. If you enter from outside of the UK and win the competition, unfortunately you will not be able to claim your prize and we will have to select a new winner. We’re sorry about this and hope to expand abroad as soon as we can but until then, we can only offer you recipes, tips and some pancake cheer.

All competitions will feature a closing date. The competition will close at midnight on this date, and entries accepted after this time will not be included in the prize draw. We will choose the winner by numbering each entry in the order in which we receive them. We will then use a random number generator to choose the winner.

The winner will be contacted by email using the email address provided when they entered the competition to congratulate them, and to ask for a postal address. Once we receive an address, we aim to dispatch the prize within 14 days. If we do not hear back from the winner within 7 days to claim their prize, we will email again. If we still do not hear from them after another 7 days have passed, a new winner will be chosen and the original winner will lose their claim to the prize.

At times, winners may also be announced on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks. By entering our competition, you agree to us using your name to announce the winner of the competition in this way if you have won.
