Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that you felt the product was underwhelming for the price and not as you expected. Unlike supermarket the mixes, our pancake mixes are packed with the highest quality ingredients, Belgian chocolate pieces and dried fruit, marshmallows etc, whereas supermarket mixes just contain flour and sugar and every mix is handmade and hand packed, all of which make them significantly more expensive to produce. The cost also includes delivery each month by a Tracked service to ensure your mixes get to you.
Our website has lots of recipes for pancake toppings but we take on board that recommendations might be a nice idea and we are considering this for the future.

Results taste nice enough but just a bag of dry ingredients — underwhelming for the price.
You need to supply eggs and buttermilk and do all the messy whisking etc. Dry pancake mix retails for under £2 in the supermarket, this is nicer than usual with some bits in it (choc chips, fruit) but nothing close to £10 a pack’s worth.
Got these for partner and family as a subscription gift and now feel slightly embarrassed, the marketing led me to believe this was more of a “ready to go” indulgent treat and less just a bag of flour/sugar/baking powder/choc chips that requires significant extra faff and extra ingredients to bring to fruition.
It would also be nice if they could supply (or even recommend) some kind of sauce to go on the pancakes.

Fantastic present and tasty pancakes. My wonderful sister got me a three month subscription for Christmas; I just got my second delivery. We got mince pie flavour pancakes for the first one. We had a stack of them for Christmas Day breakfast with whipped cream and golden syrup. They were delicious. The second one arrived yesterday. It’s great that the packet fits through the letterbox, so there’s no issue with it getting delivered. This one is triple chocolate, which I’m about to make. My husband is allergic to white chocolate, which this one comes with. Please note that this wasn’t a mistake of The Little Pancake Company, because you can make requests, but as we got it as a present, my sister didn’t make a request. Anyway, the reason for me mentioning this, is that I’ve just used a colander to separate the chocolate chunks, so he can also have pancakes (and I can get a little white chocolate treat!), and was amazed as there were loads of chocolate drops in the mix. Even without the white chocolate they’re going to be chocolatey pancakes! This is the best Christmas present I’ve ever got. Looking forward to next month’s mix.

A must for any proper pancake lover! We got a gift subscription for our wedding and wow, what an amazing and delicious gift for months in a row. The pancake flavours are inventive but not weird and totally delicious. The are super light and fluffy too! A bit of maple syrup and it is a weekend breakfast made in heaven.
