Banana & Nutella Crêpes

Crepes with caramelised banana and Nutella. This pancake says ‘patience is a virtue’ because this is one of the only ways to eat Nutella that’s actually better than licking it off the spoon. This is the perfect pancake for a catch up with a friend in need.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

For the Caramelised Banana

  • 2 Bananas
  • 25g Caster Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Butter

For the Nutella Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 tbsp Double Cream
  • A dash of Milk (if needed)
  • 2 Large Crepes

METHOD

To make the Caramelised Banana

  • Heat the sugar, vanilla and water in a saucepan over a medium heat until it thickens into a sauce, stirring occasionally
  • Peel and slice the bananas
  • Stir the banana pieces into the sauce
  • Add the butter and melt into the mixture
  • Stir again
  • Roll the crepes with the caramelised banana filling inside and drizzle with Nutella sauce

To make the Nutella Sauce

  • Melt the Nutella in a saucepan over a low heat with the cream. Add a bit of milk if the sauce is too thick
